Red Bull Air Race 2017 - Lausitzring

2017 will see the Red Bull Air Race World Championship return to the Lausitzring after a brilliant round last year. In 2016 when the pilots touched down in the 3.2km (2 mile) tri-oval racetrack, formerly known as Lausitzring, it was the pivotal sixth race of the season. This year it will represent the penultimate race!

  • Yoshihide Muroya flew the perfect race in Round 7 at the Lausitzring in Germany, setting the fastest time of the day to take the win in the Final 4. Australia's Matt Hall made a late push for points and finished in 2nd place, with Martin Sonka in 3rd. This puts the Czech pilot back at the top of the standings with just the final race of the year in Indianapolis left on 14-15 October. The title fight is still wide open... join us again soon!
